QUICK UPDATE

Just wanted to say that if any of you are from my YouTube then I apologize for not posting! I'm going through a personal thing at the moment which I'd rather not talk about but I've not been in the best of moods. Also, I didn't want to be one of those people to bang on about exams getting in the way but- they are. I'll be honest, I'm not a dedicated reviser and the only real reason I can't film is because my Mum will kill me if she hears me doing anything that isn't revision! So just bear with me because once I've finished my exams I'll be back and I'll be posting more than ever due to how much spare time I'm going to have. Thanks for standing by!

FROM ONE EXTREME TO THE OTHER

Well well well...another pair of shoes. I know a lot of you won't like these but I AM IN LOVE.

Just, look at them. My friends were laughing at me because I've gone from wearing creepers to these. My year 10 self would be going insane (the chavs used to wear these to the skate park in like year 8).

I'm already picturing all sorts for these to go with and I'm just loving them. But, dayyyym these are expensive. I work in a shoe shop so I got them for much cheaper than what they are. In my shop, they're being sold for £89.99. Sheeeeeesh. I just really wanted them because I wanted blazers just after I got my creepers and everyone and their Mothers have them now so I wanted something a bit different!

CALIFORNIA DREAMIN'

As always, I woke up this morning with the usual thought in my head that I'm just not where I'm supposed to be (this post is going to be so deep). Since I can remember I've always just wanted to get away. To travel and just be rid of the same routine day-in and day-out. If you know me, you'll know that I have always wanted to perform. If I could chose the direction my life would take, I would become an actor. I can dream, ok?! Having a one-track mind like this can be kinda concerning for the parents though and my Mum and Dad have never really been 'ok' with me not having a plan B.

Your dreams are something that you can hold in your hands and be the maker of but can be so easily drawn away from you. For years we mould our dreams and design our futures in a way that can become almost unattainable. But what happens when our lives begin to be driven away from what we really want. I can’t help but wonder… should we be satisfied with anything less than our initial dreams. I know that sounds so cheesy but I literally have no other way of explaining it!

So, what am I getting at?! Well, to cut a story short (if it's not too late for that)...I'm moving away from this place. Basically, my uncle lives in L.A, right near Venice Beach. And next year, when I'm finished with Sixth Form and I've saved up a shit load of money- me and my best friend are moving over there for our gap year. We're going to see how things go with finding a place to stay and seeing if we can get decent jobs and who knows? If we like it we'll stay. If not, we've had an amazing gap year. I feel like I should take advantage of someone so close to me living in a place I dream of being. And for the first time, it was my Mum who suggested it! We were talking the other day and she was saying that I should do because there's no point in me going straight to Uni and into a degree that I'm not sure that I want. It's a long shot and even I know it's kind of a ridiculous dream going into acting but L.A just seems right and I think it's going to be a growing up experience and I'll feel like I'm ready for Uni when (and if ;) I come home.

Not only do I want to go to seek career opportunities.. I just generally miss it! As I said, my Uncle lives out there with my Aunty and 2 cousins and when I visited, we used to have the best times! Plus Hannah (my best friend) has never been to America and has always dreamed of going.

The experience of camping in L.A compared to in England is completely different. It's what you see in the movies, it's soooo much more fun (and it's warm!). I remember we got one of the blow up beds from out the tent and threw it on the river (which was completely clear- so beautiful) and we just sailed down the river on it. Thinking back, that was so dangerous because there was a pretty strong current but that's what my Uncle is like; so much fun. I also remember seeing carcases of mountain lions lying around- so much more exciting than the boring views in Wales...

Oh and Santa Monica. This was the last day we were there and I can remember being in a huge huff for the whole day. Take me back. So I suppose the purpose of this post was just to vent how excited I am at the moment. As I said, it's just for a gap year to have some fun and  if I get discovered well, that'll just be a bonus ;)

Dis is ma wardrobe space! The reason the wardrobes are 2 different colours are because well, basically I got myself involved in a little DIY project that I never got round to finishing- oops!

CURRENTLY SCOUTING: The Perfect Round Sunglasses

Since last Summer I really really really wanted some thick round sunglasses and the shops seem to have loads in at the moment. Well actually, I hadn't really seen them in the stores BUT I've seen loads online. Especially in Asos... 

Mmmmmm, you geddin it right Asos! I've got to say though, for me, £15 is a lillll expensive so I scouted eBay as usual and found some pretty nice ones for around £6- much more reasonable. I'll definetly be getting my hands on some before we're faced with Spring in only, oh, 4 days- maybe not that soon then. But wow, Spring in 4 days, that's cheered me up.

FESTIVAL FASHION: Leeds

Okay, 159 days until Leeds festival. Let the prep begin. Okay, maybe not yet but I am SO SO SO excited. So I decided to do a post on it showing things I'll be trying to find before I go (if they're still in shops by that time!) and also, to show essentials I know I'll be needing. I've been to 2 festivals but this year will be my first camping, I'm kinda nervous because I probably won't like it. Ahhh, apart from these things, I'll be packing shit loads of noodles, chocolate and baby wipes. 

Me and my friend especially want that Hello Kitty tent and I am desperate for the Princess chair! I think I'm getting those army print sneaksss with my next month's discount at work too. A few of the things I actually already have so I know I'll be taking for sure. Let me know what you think of the things I've shown. Anyone else going to their first festival this year?

20 Personal Questions

1. Thing you cannot leave the house without:
The answer to this will always be my phone- i'm just so lost without it! Also, at the moment I hate leaving the house without 'The Hunger Games' book because travelling is made to be so much more boring. I hate leaving the house without some form of vaseline or lipgloss too.

2. Favourite brand of makeup:

MAC all the way. Although, I don't use MAC dominantly. I also look MaxFactor & Sleek.

3. Favourite flower:
I'm not totally into flowers to be honest, a flower is a flower to me. Although, Lilys are pretty.

4. Favourite clothing store:
Although I've always been a Topshop kind of girl, lately I'm more into investing in pieces from American Apparel. The reason why everything is so expensive is because you can wash each thing and every time you do, they still coming out looking as though you've just bought them. This isn't the case with most other high street places! What's the point in spending £30 on a skirt from Topshop and have it starting to fade and become dull within a few washes?! I still do buy from other places, don't get me wrong, but I think about it more now instead of buying impulsively...rant over. Having said that, Zara is absolutely amazing and I've been more into buying things from there lately. The clothes just look like they've come hot off the runway.

5. Favourite perfume:

At the moment it's Carmella by Benefit. Oh my lorrrrd. That stuff is heavenly. I'll always love Alien by  Thierry Mugler, Juicy Couture and Miss Dior Cherie though.

6. Heels or Flats
Heels. Plainly because they make your legs look soooo much better. Although, I couldn't wear them all the time.

7. Do you make good grades

Yeah I did pretty well in my GCSEs to be honest. I got 15 ranging from A*-C grade. Its a shame the same can't be said for how I'm doing in AS Level at the moment -.-

8. Favourite colours:
Forest Green, Burgundy, and Seafoam Green. How precise of me

9. Do you drink energy drinks:
I loveee the taste of energy drinks but I try to steer clear from them because I know how awful they are for you

10. Do you drink juice:
Not squash. I like fresh juice though like orange and apple. I'm not a big fan of the likes of Robinson's though, I'd rather just stick to water.

11. Do you like swimming

I like to swim but I don't very often really

12. Do you eat fries with a fork
Wheres the fun in that?!

13. Favourite moisturizer:

Just Palmer's Cocoa Butter. That stuff is amazing for treating dry skin. I've used it since I was about 12 and I've never suffered from bad break out's or anything like that. I swear by it! Although, don't ever use it as a base under fake tan, it doesn't rub it properly at all (I had to learn that the hard way).

14. Do you want to get married later on in life
Only for the dress honey. Na I'm kidding. I don't really know, I like the idea of it but I've learnt through family members and seeing it happen *cough cough* Sex & The City *cough cough* that marriage can really confuse things. Suppose we'll just have to see.

15. Do you get mad easily

I like to think that I don't but people that know me would probably think otherwise. Especially my boyfriend. He's just too bloody mellow! I hate asking for something more than once, not in a spoilt way but for instance, if someone is tickling me and I tell them to stop and they don't...that reaaaally annoys me lol.

16. Are you into ghost hunting:

NO. I'd never be the same again if I saw a scary ghost. I do believe in them though, I think I saw one in my back garden when I was 7

17. Any phobias:

Death. Or dying alone. I wouldn't mind being alone when I'm older I don't think but the idea of dying alone just really really frightens me. I'm scared of nits too. Just omg let's move on.

18. Do you bite your nails:

No, ew. The dirt that collects under nails is disgusting.

19. Have you ever had a near death experience:

When I was little and I smashed my head open. I had a really strange experience where I swore I was looking down on myself in a yellow blanket on my Grandma's knee on the car. Strange, I know. No one ever believes me haaa

20. Do you drink coffee:

Too much. There's 2 cups of it to the right of me. I drink around 9/10 cups of it on a day where I'm not in College or Work. Eek, that's so bad.

Wreck This Journal

So the concept is basically to do exactly what it says on the front...wreck it! Each page gives a different instruction to help you to create a book that in the end, will be amazing to scan through.To me it just looks so fun to just have your own ideas for each page and just really get into it and make the journal look amazing. I was so impressed when I was flicking through it in Waterstones and I'm just glad someone came up with this idea because it's just generally a really fun and creative idea. I was going through pictures on Google and I was just got so bloody memorized by everyone's pages and I cannot wait to get mine. I can tell I'm gonna be spending a lot of time on this bad boy.

February Favourites (& Not so good buys...)

My first MAC Blusher! This one is in 'Desert Rose' and it's just a really natural colour so I've been wearing it almost everyday since I bought it. I bought it off eBay (don't worry- it's 100% genuine) and ended up winning it for £8 instead of the original price of £17.50. If you want to see better pictures of this colour, I show those in my latest haul.

That picture is so random ^ hahaha. Well, don't my eyebrows look bushy! Oh well, I like them that way. Anyway, onto the product! I was in Boots and was looking for any clear mascara to use on my brows and this was actually the only one there so I just picked it up. So, I don't really know if there are any better clear mascara gels to be honest and I can't compare this with anything. However, it does the job so I've been loving just using this as apposed to colouring in my eyebrows. 

Been looking for a mahooosive bow and this is absolutely perfect. It's a velvet material and has a superglued comb clip at the back of it. I got this on eBay and if you're interested in buying it, you can get it here! I haven't wanted to take it out of my hair since :)

Mentioned this in my last haul. Literally wore it every day I've had makeup on my face, will continue to buy this forever. I'm not sure if you're supposed to use primer before it but I put some on then put this all over my lid and it works as a perfect base before applying my eyeshadow. I love that it doesn't crease at all and helps my eyeshadow to stay on all day. It's basically what I have been searching for since I started wearing makeup!! I may just marry it 

I got this for my birthday and I don't actually know if it has a proper name to be honest, all it says in the booklet is that it is a 'face brush with long-handle'. Oh, and it's by BareMinerals. This brush, dayyyym. It is amazing, so soft and blends face powder in beautifully. Not much else to say about it honestly but... it's just a really nice brush haha!

Now this may just look like a really boring hat but this baby has been my life-saver this past week. Boy- have I had some, shall we say, bad hair days. Long story short, I tried to dye my hair platinum blonde so I could put a purple dye on it and basically, it went yellow. Or maybe more of an orange. Generally, a colour a girl does NOT want her hair like! The sod of a hair dye is further on in this post with pictures of what my hair went like...I feel brave. Anyhoo, this specific hat is from Topman but honestly, I would have worn any hat!

Another life saver of mine this week. When my hair resembled a bottle of mustard, this shampoo took away (most) of the brassiness and helped it return to my natural colour so I could whip the hat off and just wear my hair normally. Unfortunatly, you can't buy this shampoo from any old store! If you're from England you can get this range from Savers; if not I suggest you should just search the internet!

Hello lover... I've been reading reviews on this and I agree with most who say this mascara has well and truly made it onto my holy grail list. Does what it says on the tin...lengthen's and helps to curl your lashes but also, I find it adds lots of volume. I think it can get quite clumpy BUT I love that in mascara unlike other people. I actually bend the brush like I do with all of my mascaras so that they fit my eye better. Another good thing I found about it is that it's really easy to wipe off and doesnt give that hard unmovable feel at all- BONUS! It is a bit on the pricey side, retailing at £16 but I think it's so worth it and I seriously recommend this beauty. 

Never really seen many people raving about this nail varnish but let me be one to rave! Again, does what it says on the bottle...generally strengthened my nails and took away the horrible cracks I seem to get. 

Now, onto the things that have...huff...disappointed me.

OPI, how could you?! Someone needs to take this off my hands immediately before I launch it out of my bedroom window. I think it's because it has glitter in it that it just does not crackle at all. Such a let down. Maybe I'm using it wrong?! But I mean how hard is it to just paint on top of a base coat. 

Biggest waste of money of my life. Smells putrid. Actually feels like I'm tasting/smelling hairspray and vodka mixed together. Who the hell approved this to be sold. 

WHAT?! A MAC lipstick in this part of the favourites?! Na, look closer. The bitches on eBay had me off...

Maybe the more experienced of you will notice by now...

Oh...wow...fabulous. Huff, I will never learn. To be honest, if this was just a normal drug store lipstick- i'd love it! The colour pay off is bloody amazing! But because it's fake MAC, it's pissed me off...

I URGE YOU NOT TO BUY THIS. Ice Blonde?! Erm I think not. Thankfully, my hair is back to normal now but what a waste of money. Scroll down for a laugh...
